<p>College recruiters, high school and college coaches, and and friends and family of all them are going to check in on you to see if you are an investment or a liability to a college program.</p>
<p>A college coach is different than a high school coach. If they lose their job the whole family has to get up and move and this causes turmoil for kids and wives.</p>
<p>Here are 2 main sources players are being evaluated from:</p>

<p>If you display too many red flags like saying the &#8220;N&#8217; word or are surrounded by people drinking beer and smoking weed, that is a red flag.</p>
<p>A good rule of thumb is if your mom can&#8217;t see it, don&#8217;t put it out there. And if you haven&#8217;t yet go through your face book and clean it up!</p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">There are many kids around the country that may not be as fast as you, or jump as high, but show a better character that a coach will trust more to put out there on the field. </span></p>
<p>Does your social media pages show you conducting yourself in a way that a coach can have full confidence to win football games and earning a degree?</p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>#2. Other Good Coaches </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-size: small;">Coaches will listen to other good coaches before they listen to huge recruiting companies.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">I have former coaches and many teammates (now Division 1 coaches) that I shed blood with on the football field that who will listen to my evaluation of a player long before they listen to a big time college recruiting company with thousands of kids on their roster and a giant office full of salesman.</span></p>
<p>What is a good coach? A good coach is one that is respected by many other good coaches. You know when you meet them and play for one.</p>
<p>Do your coaches trust you? Can they count on you in crunch time to get the job done? Will you remember that audible to change a play because the formation is different?</p>
<p>Most of the time, the coach will not put a game in the hands of an athlete he doesn&#8217;t trust. And most of the time it has to do with things that happen when the game lights are off and your at practice.</p>
<p>What is your work ethic like? Are you a &#8220;Prima Donna&#8221;? Do players respect you? When good coaches give their evaluation of a player, people listen.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: small;">These are 2 sources that can help players be evaluated. The best piece of advice I would give is always be on top of your game! In the weight room, class room, and where ever you conduct yourself.</span> </span></p>

They can come up with a food regimen tailored specifically to your needs and your weight loss goals. Creating a diet that has many nutritional foods that you enjoy will make you happier and safer from diseases related to unhealthy eating habits. You can reach a healthy weight and continue your fitness regimen knowing that you have tackled the task of cleaning up your diet.</p>

While these kinds of fighting methods are effective it can also be valuable to learn the use of a weapon in the form of a knife fighting tournament class. A common item that you kind find anywhere like a knife can become a deadly weapon if you know how to overpower your opponent and strike at the right time. When you are in a life or death situation, knowing how to fight with a knife can save you from injury or even death.</p>
<p>Whether you simply enjoy recreational sparring, learning the art of weaponry and fighting or you want to be well-rounded in self-defense skills knife fighting can be a great choice. This class will teach you techniques you can use for the tournament in a fun and competitive spirit but also some defense possibilities should you ever need them. Competing in the tournament will give you the confidence to handle yourself against many different types of opponents of varying strength and size. If you do well in the tournament you can leave knowing that you have the skills of survival using an important weapon.</p>
<p>There is more to knife fighting then just being able to yield and strike with a weapon. You need to be able to escape and avoid your opponent’s attacks or prevent them from taking your weapon out of your hands. Good defense tactics are crucial in addition to methods of attack in a tournament like this. You will learn strength, agility and coordination that will give you an advantage over any real life offender. Your motivation will be to win against your sparring partner and to avoid critical injury in the process. You will be in a safe and supportive environment without real weapons but the skills you learn will stay with you after you finish the class.</p>
<p>There are many different kinds of fighting styles to learn but one of the most basic skills in combat is the ability to handle a simple weapon. You need to know how to use your body when you are fighting someone bigger or stronger than you and you need to escape or take them down. You need to know how to utilize tools that can save your life. Having the knowledge of using a weapon will give you an advantage and make you feel that much safer and stronger. Take the time to fight in a tournament and you will feel fit and ready to take on anything.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Football is a sport that requires total commitment and if it is something you want to do then you need to put in 100% of your effort towards being the best player you can be. This means for an athlete that you are always training for the upcoming season so that you can be completely ready to play the best game of your life. At the EPIC offseason football camp you can focus all your energy on training and preparing yourself for future games. Training involves physical strength but it is also focus, coordination and playing well as a team member and not just an individual player. The more connected you are to a team strategy the more you can concentrate on winning a game with the combined effort of all your teammates. </p>
<p>Some people might not understand how important it is for a dedicated athlete to constantly be training rather than taking a break in the offseason. Between seasons it would be easy to lose a lot of the progress and ability you have gained while playing on a regular basis. This period of time is when you get your body up to par with strength, power and agility. The best coaches can run drills that will give players the ability to perform well in the game and also feel confident that they are completely prepared physically every time they play.</p>

A positive attitude keeps you motivated and a strong relationship with your coach gives you faith that you can and will win. The offseason can be a great time for players to get helpful coaching. Play by your coach’s rules and best strategies and you will see your team achieve all its goals and win. </p>

For people that have the basic level of strength and endurance, the same routine at the gym can get boring and ineffective. Your muscles and mind get used to your daily run on the treadmill, stationary bike workout and the same reps on the weight machines. To keep yourself in shape you have to work different muscles and change up your workout routine so you can get out of that plateau. An unconventional training class like Chaos is the perfect solution for people that want to increase their strength and fitness in new and different ways.</p>
<p>A class that takes you away from the same old routines that you fall into can help you start to rethink the way you view fitness. It’s time to get creative with Chaos training that uses unique tools like tire flips, battle ropes, boxing, outdoor hill runs, resistance bands, sand bags and many others. You will start using your muscles in ways you never have before and push your limits to their extreme. Tire flipping is an exercise that looks so impressive you will feel confident and strong when you can really accomplish it. This is an exercise that requires pure, raw strength and energy and you can use to prove to yourself and everyone that you have the physical prowess to lift and flip such a heavy object. Battle ropes are fun, alternative way to work out muscles in your entire body and especially strengthen your core. It can be gratifying to slam the ropes around and you are getting a quick but effective workout for your arms, back legs and abs.</p>
<p>Many people who are interested in fitness have never tried boxing but it is one of the most rewarding skills to learn that you will never forget it. Not only does it give you a better body but it helps you improve your focus, coordination and power. Boxers are strong but they are also quick and highly skilled at what they do. With boxing and sandbags you are toning your arms, shoulders and back while increasing your power in throwing punches. Sometimes the easiest way to change up your workout routine is just to step outside the gym and run outside. Running on hills is a different experience than a treadmill and works more muscles in your legs as you deal with steep inclines testing your strength.</p>
<p>Get the most out of your workout by taking a group class that pushes you to step outside your comfort zone and try something that will be intense and effective movement training. You will move your body and use your muscles more than you ever have at the gym.</p>

<p>This is not a workout (aside from the hike to the campsite), it’s a time for our EPIC members to share some time together outside of the gym with our families, friends, and coaches.</p>
<p>In saying that, this is not beach camping. This is primitive back country camping. Meaning, you must carry everything in (including water) and out. The hike is about 4 miles to the camp site.</p>
<p>There is no running water in the back county. There is however an outhouse, but make sure you bring TP. J</p>
<p>EPIC is not charging a fee, but you must reserve your own campsites for crystal cove primitive back county (again, not the beach camping). You can make your reservations through <a href="http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Crystal_Cove_Sp_Primitive_Tent_Camping/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=CA&amp;parkId=120022&amp;topTabIndex=CampingSpot" target="_blank">reserveamerica.com</a>. The actual campsite on the website is called “Crystal Cove SP Primitive Tent Camping, CA”. The total should come out to $33 for 1 night.</p>
<p>Each reservation is good for 4 people (plan accordingly to save money) and includes an overnight parking pass.</p>
<p>We plan on meeting at 3:30 pm in the crystal cove El Moro Parking lot (day use parking area). We can hike in together as a group beginning at 4:00 pm. The hike will take around 2 hours. Coach Edith, Coach Brian and Jenn Mora have done this hike many times and can lead the way.</p>

<p>If you cannot meet at the specified time, feel free to grab a map from the ranger station and make your way up to the campsite. It is recommended to hike with 2 or more people.</p>
<p>Fires are not allowed in the back country so there is no need to bring any fire starter equipment. Even though it can get warm during the day, it can get chilly at night. Check the weather report Saturday morning to plan your clothing.</p>

I settled down into my comfort zone. My exercise routine was either taking long walks by the beach or taking long walks on the treadmill at LA fitness. I may be thin but I wasn’t physically fit. Secretly, I’ve always felt called to participate in a more intense workout regime; to access the warrior from within. I learned to practice what I preach. For instance, I told my 3rd grade client, “It’s okay to go slow in class. Don’t give up.” When I first joined EPIC, I learned, “It’s okay to go slow in class and to not give up (because the workouts felt brutal and I was overwhelmed). I feel I have more strength and energy now to do God’s work for His people, places, and things. I learned my team’s so-called weaknesses were actually blessings in disguise. All of us were able to support and help each other when we were faced with life’s challenges unexpectedly. <p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #000000;"><strong>We are only inviting 10 people to take part in the Beta Test version of Armageddon: Combat and Chaos. </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #000000;"><strong>We also do not want to sacrifice quality due to a shortage on equipment and watchful eyes.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">The tasks that will be performed will be technical and need critiquing.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">Especially when we are learning the fundamentals of the program. This 6 week class is special because it may never happen again.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #000000;"><strong>You will be taught by Sebastian Lopez (also known as C Bass), a real MMA fighter who has learned and been mentored by Razor Rob McCollough. He&#8217;s also been sparring partners with some of the top guys in the business like Rampage and Tito Ortiz.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">C Bass has been faithful to the sport of MMA by training and fighting in the arena.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">He didn&#8217;t just get a certification at a cardio boxing class at a big box gym.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">If he isn&#8217;t training to fight, he is training others. He&#8217;s got it in his blood.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">The beginning of Armageddon will be learning fight fundamentals from C Bass such as:</span></p>

We would like to expose everything that will take place in the chaos portion of Armageddon but that would destroy the point. <p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">Truth be told, you will feel unbreakable at the end of your 6 week experience.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">It will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 7:30. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #000000;"><strong>The entire 6 weeks of the beta version of Armageddon is just $120. That&#8217;s 18 hours of instruction for just $6.67 an hour.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">If you are not a current EPIC member, you will have access to the 50 50 high intensity conditioning class that has been become a people favorite. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">Armageddon takes the workout experience to a new level combining seasoned fight instruction with out of the box strength and conditioning.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">And take my word for it, the 1.5 hours will zoom by and you will be wanting to learn more. The combat class will not be cardio kickboxing either.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #4b4b4b; font-size: medium;">You will use gloves, be expected to wrap your hands (we will teach you), and be asked to strike pads and hold pads.
